Ramblings

Bub just came out of the toy room with a baby. He is giving it kisses and keeps saying "baby". It is too cute! And Ellana just started trying to "read". Ok not really read, but she is noticing words on things and picking out letters that she knows. She can recognize her name, and her brothers name. And now Calan is attempting to get himself dressed by putting his pants on his head and walking around laughing. These kids are too silly!

We just got back from attempting to fly a kite outside. It was interesting. I have never been very good at keeping kites in the air. I got it going and handed it to Ellana and she had a pretty good run with it, but it was running into peoples' houses. Probably not the best idea to fly a kite in a neighborhood, but I have been hearing about this kite for a week and a half and it was finally nice out for 5 minutes, so we were taking advantage. So we ran up and down our roads and got to fly it a bit and see some vegetables growing and see some butterflys and almost get hit by a car. At that point I decided it was time to head in. We had a fun time though.

Oh and I have lost my camera. Hoping to find it in Todd's car when he gets home tonight. Then I can put pics on here too!

Whooo Love those Terrible 2's and Whatever the heck 4 is!!

Ellana is getting so big. She loves to paint and dance and read books on the Ipod. Yes my kids have an Ipod and an Ipad, Well technically they are ours but most know how that goes. Not sure how or when that happened, but they love them! Anyway, she is getting really good at recognizing her letters and numbers and is a pro at most of the games on there. Better than me that is for sure. After she had gotten done playing a game today she became obsessed with knock knock jokes. I think that her game may have had one in it. She kept going "knock knock" I would of course say "Who's there" and she would continuously reply "banana" then it would be "banana blanna weranna" and then "banana split" and then "banana peel" and on and on for like half an hour. LOL. This was all followed by a 30 minute crying fit because we could not go to Subway for lunch. Crazy girl!

So Calan is definitely about to be 2. He is an adorable little turkey, but he can be a monster. Tonight we went to Subway for dinner. I tried to take the kids for lunch, but the car battery was dead, so I told them we could go for dinner when daddy got home. So we go eat and run to the little store right next to it. Todd wandered into the toy aisle and Calan found some cars. He was trying to figure out how to carry 3 at the same time, so he kept putting them down and picking them up in different ways, he finally figured it out and goes "let's go" and started to walk out. LOL we had to convince him to put them back without too much of a fit. Then we got home and got him ready for bed and he got so mad! He kept yelling "no, daddy, whoo whoo". He wanted to watch a train something or other on the Ipad with Todd. He is lucky he is cute!!

Bub just pooped on the potty!!!

For those of you that don't have kids just let me preface this with the fact that if you do one day have kids this will be an exciting occasion for you as well, until then you will probably think I am crazy and may not be the least bit interested in this post.

Anyway, Calan will be 2 in 2 weeks. We have not really worked too much on the potty training, I was going to wait until he was 2 and then see. Well today he walks up to me and goes "eeucch" a funny noise like yucky he makes when he goes poo. So I went to grab a diaper and when I came back he had carried his little potty out into the hallway and was trying to pull down his pants. He had already gone a bit in his diaper, so I got his diaper off of him and got him cleaned up and he went and sat on the potty and finished! Yay my big boy. I hope this whole potty training endeavor will be easy, but not keeping my fingers crossed. Considering as soon as he was done pooing he proceeded to walk into his bedroom and pee on the floor. LOL!

Kites and Rainy Days

We have been in Okinawa Japan for a little over 5 months now. I cannot believe it has been that long. Time really does go fast. Anyway, it has been raining a lot the last few weeks/months. The other day Ellana comes up to us and asked for a kite. I have no idea where she got the idea for a kite, Todd nor I ever mentioned one, but she got it in her head and that was it! She was getting a kite. So we finally made it to the store after her asking a couple thousand times if we could go get it now, we got a kite(well 2 for her and 2 for Calan) and got home. It has rained every single day since then. So now I get to hear every 2 seconds if we can go fly her kite and why can't we go fly her kite. Good times!! I will be glad when the rain goes away so we can. I remember going on picnics and flying kites with my parents, and look forward to doing that with my kiddos. All of the rain has led to another obsession for my sweet, silly girl. Rain boots. As I am typing this, she has asked me literally 20 times for rain boots. "Mommy can we go get rain boots for me and brother and you and daddy, pink ones and green and blue and purple and huh huh huh can we please right now momma....". She just keeps on and keeps on LOL Cracks me up!

Calan is such a funny little man. He still does not talk a whole lot, he understands everything he is told, just not too verbal. So when he does talk it usually makes me laugh. Yesterday we were at a playdate/lunch and he came up to me and goes "eat". I told him we would go get lunch in a minute. He threw a tiny fit and then went on his way. So a bit later I go get him and tell him it is time to go eat, he looks at me smiles really big with his cute dimples and rubs his tummy and says "num num". Cracks me up! Then just a bit later, we were in the bathroom changing his diapey and he looks in the mirror and sees himself and says "aww cute baby". LOL!! Love these babies!

Umm Let's See

Well, It has been almost 3 years since I posted anything to this blog. A LOT has happened in that time. But the main ones are we had a bitty boy named Calan and we moved to Japan. I am going to try to keep up with blogging from now on. My kids say and do the funniest things and I want to be able to remember them. So I figured I could blog for my family and friends to enjoy their antics as well.
